Sputtering targets and backing plates reclamation and refurbishing
ASM R&D employs Electron-Beam casting, EB zone refining, EB welding, and high frequency levitation in our reclamation and refurbishing processing. We classify four groups of sputtering targets acceptable for conversion:
- Precious and rare metals, alloys and intermetallics (Silver, Gold, Ruthenium, Rhodium, Palladium, Osmium, Iridium, Platinum, Rhenium, Tantalum, Hafnium, Indium, Gallium) ,
- High purity (99.95-99.999) Zirconium, Titanium, Niobium, Vanadium, Chromium, Tungsten, Molybdenum, Iron, Cobalt, Nickel and alloys.
- Some of high purity rare earth metal -made sputtering targets are also welcomed for reclamation ( Scandium, Yttrium, Europium, Terbium, Ytterbium)
Reclamation of thermocouple alloys and protection tubes ( Pt/Rh, Ir/Rh, Pt/Mo, Platinel, Ir,Mo/Re,W/Re,Ta,)
